I live in Spain and went to Mango (a clothes shop) recently with my baby in a pushchair. Having spotted something in the window I asked where I could find it in the shop, only to be told that it was upstairs which was inaccessible for me with the pushchair.
When she realised my dilemma, she sent someone to get the right size for me, which was really nice.
I am sometimes surprised that people are not more helpful to be honest, it is no easy task with kids in tow to do your shopping!

Hmmmm i think i'll have a go at this. The diddy bottles are handy for when i fancy a couple of glasses but don't want to get a large one and have to finish it. Now I can keep all the Diddy ones and then take them to get a large bottle when I have friends or boyfriend over.

I'm familiar with the till chat. As an Aussie, when I first moved to Europe I was thrown by the terseness of German checkout chicks and chucks, who all looked suspiciously militant and liked throwing your groceries on the ground if you weren't quick enough to bag them...needless to say, when my German boyfriend first came to Sydney it drove him up the wall, having to blather on at the Woollies register about the weather and how bloody crap those Poms are at cricket. But he learned...!
